untitled no. 10 [arm]
linocut. 8x10. available for purchase here. I was several years into relief printmaking before I made this piece and it was the first image I was truly proud of. It was also the first of my prints to be published; it has also put some miles on its odometer from traveling to several different shows and galleries. I enjoy the strong marks of the arm as contrasted with more fluid marks representing the fabric; the image makes excellent use of binary contrast. This print also contains the only human thumb that I've made with which I've been satisfied. |
