linocut and woodcut. 8x10. available for purchase here. The theme for this two plate print came rather organically. I like the boldness of the lettering and the lines of the horse's mane. I appreciate juxtaposition of ideas of attachment and freedom; on one hand it's the sweetest thing you could say to person, but on the other there's something paradoxical afoot. Or, let's face, something paradoxical ahoof. I love the look of the backward text on the wood: |
