scottish highland cow
rubbercut. 8x10. available for purchase here. This here piece was one of my favorite to design and when I pull prints from him [all by hand], I get just a little more pleasure from the experience than I do with any other print. We used to live next to a field of these strange beauties and it was always a delight when they came to the fence to visit. Feel free to enjoy the privilege of his presence by grabbing your own at the etsy shop. He's been custom ordered several times and is also a staple on greeting cards! “Yesterday a child said I looked like a Muppet and I thought, ‘My God, man, do you know nothing?’ It takes a lot to keep a half-ton creature like me alive in the bitter cold, including this pragmatic mop. But I make it work for me. I’d like to see you make it through a Scottish winter, you little hairless human. We’ve been making it through brutal winters for 1,500 years and will continue to do so. But sometimes, yes, when the night air is particularly crisp and I’m foraging for the bits and scraps I can find, I do wonder if it’s worth it. And all of this just to get eaten by men in skirts?” |
